The UK Maritime Collections Strategy (UKMCS) is the product of collaboration by a national network of bodies with significant maritime collections. It aims to encourage the identification and mapping of maritime collections in the UK.
UKMCS is co-ordinated by a steering group.

Associated maritime groups and networks
The UKMCS often works with members of the Maritime Curators Group (MCG). The UKMCS steering group was also instrumental in setting up an annual meeting/conference of the wider maritime heritage sector, the UK Maritime Heritage Forum (UKMHF).
